Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Meditation is more than a passing thought. It is like a tea bag in a cup of hot water. The bag enters the water- the water is still clear. Slowly as the bag steeps – it begins to change the color of the water. Our thoughts influence our mood, actions, decisions, reactions, responses, and overall state of mind. What we meditate on will influence our thinking which leads to negative thinking. If you are working on healing and you have aligned yourself with God’s plan prepare yourself. God’s process is designed to challenge your mindsets, to deconstruct and lay a healthier foundation. This merciful method is for spiritual growth. The only way to break a bad habit is to address the mindset. Healthy thinking frees us from a prison of tormenting thoughts that draws us away from God.
This is not an easy thing to do, amazing grace makes it possible for us to allow the Holy Spirit to come in with His wrecking ball of truth and demolish our thinking patterns. Jesus clears the debris and God speaks through His word and renews our mind. It takes practice and patience, He will support you in this if you stay committed.

Prayer:
Papa,
Give me the mind of Christ – and change my mind. Help me to not base my way of thinking on my past. Swing your wrecking ball in my life and teach me how to think like Jesus did! Renew my mind and transform my whole belief system.
Journal Inspiration:
Prayerfully write down some ideas on how to cope with negative thoughts.
Example: Every time I have thoughts that are not of God I will ______.
